Signing up for the walking club is FREE and easy, just visit us at the scheduled times below or the Jack Crippen Multipurpose Senior Center at 3120 Tyler Avenue, El Monte, CA 91731 during our business hours, 8:00am - 5:30pm, and fill out a registration form.
 
T-shirts, pedometers and other health related materials are provided to all members.
Please arrive on time for warm up exercises and announcements.

General Plan Update 
Health and Wellness Element 
Adopted June 21, 2011

The General Plan is the master policy document that provides direction for all future City decisions. The Zoning Code, Specific Plans, and other land use plans are tools to implement the long term vision of the General Plan. The General Plan is mandated by California law and is usually updated every 20 years. The last General Plan update for the City of El Monte was 1991.

In addition to the required Elements, the City of El Monte has developed and adopted a Health and Wellness Element for the El Monte General Plan, with components addressing healthy lifestyles and physical activity, access to healthy food, public safety and security, and access to recreation. The public review document is provided below.
